Hunt NZ: The Ultimate Offline Hunting Companion
Hunt NZ is a comprehensive hunting companion app that has been built specifically for New Zealand hunters. It is a full-featured app that includes offline mapping, hunting areas, points of interest, weather forecast, and more.
One of the best features of Hunt NZ is its full offline capability. The app has automatic tile caching and managed map package downloads, enabling a seamless offline mapping experience. The app uses NZ Topographic Maps and Satellite Maps with GPS, and it uses vector tiles so you can zoom in further than competitors' 1:50K maps.
The app also includes other useful map layers such as property boundaries, topo information, Department of Conservation hunting areas, tracks, and huts. User Locations and User Route Tracking are also available, allowing you to mark points of interest with relevant icons to navigate back to your vehicle, shelter, hunt stand, animal sightings, kill locations, and more. You can save your navigated routes with built-in GPS tracking, and the app works in the background. Data export/import for saved location markers and route tracks is also available, allowing you to share saved data with a mate.
